The Feller Fist

You know, over my years if there is one question I have been asked more than any other it is:

"Why are you so unpleasant?"

I have since learnt that this generally meant as a rhetorical question. No one ever listens to the answers I give so I guess it must be rhetorical ...

But what is my most used answer?

"Because you demand it of me!"

You see I learned a long time ago that it doesn't matter what you think or believe, how good or bad you are at anything or why ... All that matters is that you are what people expect you to be.

As long as this is the case, you will go unchecked and uninspired. People rarely question things when they believe they already have the answer ... and if they do condescend to the rhetorical question, they will not listen no matter how hard you scream your chosen answer.

In fact, I would hazard to say that you should ONLY be anything other than what people expect when you truly respect your audience - or you want the usual audience to be caught completely off guard. Of course there will always be the odd occasion where what is expected of you will be exactly who you are at that point and for me this is one of those times ...

Apparently I am an extremely unpleasant personage and at times such as right now this description is accurate ... if not a little understated!

Recently some people that I give a shit about have been given a hard time by people I have never met (not that I do not know who they are - note that subtle difference!!) - simply because they have been pleasant to me! It seems that the depth of the snivelling contained within some people can not be accurately plumbed ....

Oh fuck it who cares anyway?

All that matters is that some people I care for refused to be swayed in the face of beknighted bigotry.

They say if there is any justice at all it will all work out in the end ...

I say there is no justice ... there is JUST US.

The feller fist will fall where it should.
