Another give away …

Now I generally poo poo the idea of saying: “Now this here means that the person is a witch” but sometimes you have to.

This is a special one that I have held as a dear secret for many years. I learnt it at a rather impressionable time of my life and so it has stuck rather indelibly. I have told it to a couple of people over the years but now feel the time is right to say it to a somewhat wider circle.

You see many years ago I was in need of some assistance. I had a dream that was very instructive and full of portent and symbols. Now I had a fair idea of what it meant to ME but wanted another opinion to match up against.

I wound up deciding to test out a few people who were, (at the time) trying rather strongly to convince me of their “Traditional Witch” background. They were doing so in the usual manners, using the usual rather tired half hints and so on.

Now the funniest of these was the use of the name “Janicot” like it was some sort of holy grail. Now to be fair, perhaps it was to them but sheesh lemme tell you in all candour that was just one of several pass word names I was taught in the first weeks of my training when I was inducted. The other factor is … well without wanting to be too blunt about it … I get tired of people underestimating me. “Janicot” oooo what a spooky special give away to their alleged traditional nature! Like I have never even read Gardner *rolls eyes*

Lame.

Anyhow, that’s beside the point. There was one thing in particular that gave them away.

I gave them all the notes on the dream and asked them what they thought it meant.

What I got back was a page of dubious bits and bobs that came from the usual sources and half assed guesses. To be perfectly candid, I had seen better work out of students of my own with little or no “witch” background to go on.

Now after this I went and presented the same to Bill. The next day he told me what information he had and explained each part of it. It agreed with it point for point. It was what I had thought only there was more info that, (once pointed out) made sense but was things that I had not managed to “connect the dots on”.

There were furthermore some more points regarding the future that he freely offered with the advice that I wait and see – rather than simply believe him or his sources.

Later on, I was talking to him about it all and mentioned the other, (I thought) rather specious response I got from the others. He told me something that I have since seen proven over and over again since.

He said: “Fair enough, you didn’t believe it and you thought their response was thin. Let me tell you another reason as to why they were not as they presented themselves. Were they actual witches and you asked them for their assistance then they either would know what to say to you or not. Had they not known, then they would have asked their guides and been given answers to give to you.”

Here is the thing that I have seen over and over again all over the net for years – someone who is obviously presenting as an expert of some kind or a witch, (or whatever else) but they can’t get answers about anything. Furthermore, when faced with someone who says: “Well yes here is your answer” the same is questioned.

Now that is fair enough – all things should be BUT when these same are told flatly that the answer has been given and passed on there is all sorts of scoffing and requests for references out of a book or whatever else. At the end of the day these same people NEVER seem to understand a basic position which equates to simply not really caring what anyone thinks.

As I have said often: “No. You asked me and I gave you an answer. It doesn’t affect me in any particular way and frankly I have no idea about the subject so I am patently NOT trying to convince or convert you one way or any other. You asked me, I didn’t know so *I* asked. I got told the information I told you and now I have passed it on that is an end to it as far as I am concerned. Believe it or not as you see fit, test it out and profit from it or not as you see fit.”

Why should these people, (if indeed they are as they claim) have such difficulty I wonder?

It is like another thing I witnessed to great amusement, now here is another.

There was a particular individual who was a “Pickingill Magister” and also a this, a that, the other and so on and back.

Now I happen to know where this one comes from and can confirm that he has been given “a waving over” by someone of my acquaintance and line who has the connection. That being said, as Bill put it: “Still *I* have never met him – and he obviously doesn’t *get* it!”

And you know what? I agree and I will now tell you why.

Frankly put, if you were a part of an organisation or path that worked for you; then you’d feel no particular need to present yourself in any other way. I have been part of many organisations of different kinds over the years and had several different names and titles. I don’t use them now obviously.

Indeed to be perfectly clear I only identify the way I *do* so that, at a later time no one can claim that I was trying to hide it. Personally I see no particular point other than this to even identify in any way. It isn’t after all important to me if you believe me or are impressed or not etc.

So here is a way in which you will know an actual witch apart from the masses that clog the e-lists and bars. If you belong and it is real then you will know what I mean when I say:

Yes I am a Witch. I was given my Initiation and Authority in a Traditional Line.

When I want to know something - I ask in the way that I was taught and I get answers that have time and time again been proven correct.

When I want something - I ask in the way I was taught and I get what I asked for.

Sometimes I ask external agencies that you have never had any contact with so it would be pointless for me to explain them or elucidate, sometimes I ask external agency that is, for want of a better manner of explanation – comprised of selected people from the past.

If the expert before you can’t do the same …. Well I guess the Math is fairly simple.

It really is that simple.
