Two News moments ...
Men admit road rage attack on toddler

Well now I bought this up a while back .... on http://bissekarthoughts.blogspot.com/2007/08/unpopular-but-just-like-me.html
I said: "Now I am going to say this simply because it needs to be said that way - this 32 year old Stratton man and his mate should be smashed in the same way with the same weapon. I would say by the mother but well I don't think she'd be trusted to do the "once and be done with it" so - choose a professional.
They have forfeited their right to survive unscathed in our society.I know for a fact that many people drive like idiots. Some even drive like idiots with children. They should be bereft, (as I suggested earlier) BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE GOOD ENOUGH to suggest that it is permissible for you and a mate to attack a woman in a car with kids with a steering lock. There is no traffic infringement that leaves you capable that is bad enough to excuse this sort of action.
NONE.
There is more I could say but why?
What would YOU say to this man and his mate? I don’t think they are the sort that words would change. It ISN’T OPEN SEASON BUT IT SHOULD BE!
Ah hell who am I kiddin'?
Dude, wherever you are ... there's BAD stuff comin' for you."
Well the saga continues ...
Two Perth men have pleaded guilty to a road rage attack which left a toddler with a gashed face that required plastic surgery.
Jason Paul Cominelli, 32, from Stratton in Perth's east, and his twin brother Murray Dean Cominelli, admitted smashing the windows of the car driven by the two-year-old's mother with a heavy metal steering lock in August last year.
They had driven after the mother's car after another traffic incident in Perth's eastern suburbs.
When she stopped outside a hotel, with her daughter and four-year-old son inside her car, one of the men shattered the windows with the lock.
Police believed the lock had gone through the window and hit the girl.
She received a V-shaped wound running from the temple to the cheek and underwent reconstructive plastic surgery.
Following the operation, a Princess Margaret Hospital spokeswoman said the girl was recovering well.
The Cominelli brothers fled the scene but were later each charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of criminal damage.
A spokeswoman for the Midland Magistrates Court said the two men appeared in court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to the charges.
They are due to reappear in the court on April 25 for sentencing.
I expect that because they pleaded guilty (under duress let us not pretend otherwise - had they not gotten caught we'd have never heard from them again!) they will get less sentances. They should, as I say get smashed in kind. I hope they get jail time and big hairy friends who are none too damn gentle with em ....
At least now I get to say: Jason Paul Cominelli and Murray Dean Cominelli at least we know your names now you scumbags. At this stage I'd wonder if your mother would miss you. .... Bad stuff is comin your way ....
At least for once we can actually name menaces to our world - though I doubt that will fix a little girl's face. People like these two make me physically sick.
Teenager guilty of kicking 'Goth' girl to death
Friday Mar 28 06:05 AEDT
Now for years I have been saying that it is dangerous that there have been some changes in that particular subculture. Years ago we'd be up for whatever was thrown at us. These days it is full of reedy wee chaps that simper away from sneers.
The problem is that it tends to make victims out of them.
Naturally old Scott has been overly dramatic ... or not as this news report shows.
A 15-year-old British boy has been convicted of kicking and stamping to death a woman in a park because she and her art student boyfriend were wearing Goth-style black clothes.
Brendan Harris attacked Sophie Lancaster, 20, as she begged him and four other youths to stop beating her boyfriend.
A court in Preston, northern England, heard the assault was totally unprovoked and the two victims were singled out simply because they looked different to their attackers.
The victim died from serious head injuries two weeks after the attack in a park in Bacup, Lancashire, last August.
Her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, 21, was left in a coma but has almost recovered full health.
Another teenager, Ryan Herbert, 16, pleaded guilty to the murder.
Harris had denied murder, admitting only that he had beaten up Maltby after consuming large amounts of cider, beer and peach liqueur.
Police chief Mick Gradwell said it was one of the most violent murders he had ever worked on. "It was a totally unnecessary and appalling set of circumstances.
"I do not think Herbert and Harris have recognised how violent the attack was," he said.
"They have just done it without thinking but they have seemed to have enjoyed it and carried on remorselessly kicking at two very defenceless people who were unable to protect themselves because of the level of violence inflicted upon them."
Gradwell was severely critical of Harris's parents, saying their attitude throughout the trial had been "appalling."
The victim's boyfriend said Lancaster was "my entire world."
"Everything I was doing outside being around Sophie was really just to make it so we could have a decent life together, and just when we have tried that hard, we have put in so much effort, and then some child comes along and decides to ruin it all for you, it is just not fair."
Harris will be sentenced next month.
Oh well - he was drunk ... well now that excuses it doesn't it?
Did you know that it is actually harder over here to convict a known drunk of drink driving for any punishment that is deserving? Why because it is a habit and oh deary me all habits should be excused because they could not help themselves. *Shakes Head* I reckon the old way was better - they should know bettr by now - double the punishment the second time, triple the third ... so much more just ...
Well Brendan I hope another drunk kicks one of your family to death ... I know better than to expect the level of justice that means it'd be you instead! Mores the pity as I am all for the guilty being punished rather than everyone else paying for the misdeeds of a few.
